Here is a question for you tri-types:
I want to train for a Feb. marathon (Austin Motorolla) and focus on it. But, having tried my first tri this past Sunday), I'd like to build a modest base from which to start tri-training; especially on the bike. Anyone here have an idea of how to mix cycling into a marathon training schedule in a "least intrusive" way?
BTW, as far as the tri: I entered even though I had exactly ONE ride all year long; the swim went great (17:42 for 1000 m, I was in the top 20 out of the water) but I lost 45-50 places on the bike! (25K; I had a ghastly 6 minute T1 and 58 minute ride)
