Veteran's posting above suggests that the Boston Marathon may grant you a number under "special considerations". I happen to be a BAA Running Club member and I can't even try this stunt. Wanna know what my 2 options are? Meet the qualifying time or run for a BAA approved charitable cause (without a qualifying). That's it folks. The BAA is not known for passing out race bibs in special circumstances. But each year people still try to shake them down with all kinds of creative sob stories.
