I'm a veteran marathoner, training for my 10th this fall. Sleep is generally not a problem (especially now that I have a 17-month-old!), but over the years I've pretty consistently had trouble sleeping the night AFTER a long run or race. Like yesterday -- I ran 20 miles first thing in the morning, felt beat all day, but when it came time to go to bed, it took me forever to drop off. And when I did, it was only into the lightest of dozing. I ended up getting maybe three good hours at the end of the night.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any good tips/tricks out there?
