It is so as you state the disgrace of bieng found out to be wearing a medal you did not earn is horrible fate. As a former Marine inspections would match the medals you were issued with what was in your personel record and compare it with what you were wearing. There is a ranking of medals location placement etc.. so that is how some fakers get caught. There is a book I believe called Fallen Valor that chronicals several people famous and well known public figures who were exposed and had to pay the piper for thier dishonesty. I could not imagine why you would wont to cheat your self and compromise your honor to wear a medal you did not earn. To cheat at a marathon is inexcuseable! If you want to cheat and be dishonest go on Reality TV! I dont think the Marine Corps was the venue to try this move. I hope they remain true to thier creed Semper Fidelis always faithful to Unit Corps God and Country. OOOHHHRRRAAHHH Post a reply on the Bulletin Board
