I have completed 33 marathons including the Marine Corps fairly so I am a veteran marathoner. My time is just outside the Boston qualifying times and as hard as I might try, I cannot get the Bostson qualifying times. I would like to experinece Boston just once in my life but cannot. I have thought many times of cheating so that I can make Boston and there are many ways one can cheat. In the end I decided that Boston does not need me and I do not need Boston. Cheating to get to Boston would not hurt my conscience one bit because I tried hard. I would sleep vey well. I plan to do 6 marathons next year and could do many more if I had the time!!!

I would CHEAT without blinking an eyelid to get to Boston if there were no other marathons to do. After completing 33 marathions, who on this site want to look me in the eye and call me a cheater !!!!

Now I can understand these folks who are cheating from the charities. They just want to achieve something. Why do they have a cutoff time in Marine Corps?? Why do they not have an early start for these folks?? This race director spends his time trying to disqualify runners. Why does he not spend more time improving the race !!!!

A lot of you who find fault with these runners really do not know anything. Some of these people have genetics and so what if they are overweight?? They are trying; they do a good cause cause by raising money. I really feel sad that we have so many stupid runners who would even dare to complain about some folks who are trying. It is not of yoru business since they are not going to win any prizes. All they want is a medal. Common give the folks a break.

Anyone that is connected to a charity or could pass on some advice to these charities, let me give you some advise. You should go to the smaller marathons like Erie. You will get an early start, plus you get to run around the lake twice and the director will allow the runners to complete and self report.

Listen up charity folks and this is from a 33 marathoner : Do not be discouraged by the comments and continue to do the good work that you are doing by raising money for good causes. As I said I would cheat without blinking an eyelid if I had to.

In closing let me say this: I wish all the runners who find fault with the charity runners never have to use these organizations.
