Roger don't fret I donate to lots of causes most of which dont involve me having to run for them and it is just as good a feeling. I also encourage my kids to help in helping others Toys for Tots and we pick a family each year from our town and by thier kids gifts for the holidays and this money comes from gift money that was to go to my kids and they know this they help pick out the gifts. I am a civil sevice worker so its not coause im rich its because it right. I thank you for donating for who you do. It does make the world a better place. As far as Paying my way into a race I actualy got into Marine corp on my own then joined TNT and payed for my own travel and hotel. Real training is all i received and a lot of it to complete my marathon i have certified chip times at all intervals and lots of photos to prove what I did! More importantly I have integrity and Honor that is why I stayed with my TNT team. The hours of training are hard they should be so is the time spent fundraising, but we do it cause we feel the need to help. We tie it to runs and all cause it shows the world that people ot there need help exposure interest. Its too bad you wont be in boston I hope you get there one day if its your dream. I too wont be there although I know i could raise the money needed to buy into it as you say I dont Qual on the application to the team. There are other races for me anyway and I will finish those hopefuly faster. So Roger keep on donating no matter what happens here or at any race the people who benefit for real the patients and families need the help. Post a reply on the Bulletin Board
