Well its easy to answer this one the website says it all Its the Peoples Marathon! Not the elites marathon. I wish that i had never had the experiance to have read the posts on this website they sicken me. This is the first marathon I have ever run in my life and i ran it with TNT! I could not have felt any more proud of what we were doing then I am. We at TNT trained our butts off logging in miles and miles of training runs and races all over our area. PS we pay those fees our selves. Just like you do. In the end we trained to run and finish and we all did on our team. I came off this race set to do the next one just trying to pick wich one. I could not have been more up on running and being part of a limited group Marathon finishers was a proud time. Then I realized trough the help of this site and the posts here that this community of runners is so bitter angry and elitest It bothers me to no end. NO ONE SHOULD Cheat and as a former US Marine I will not believe the race would condone it ever! I will never be fast do to my god given lack of speed. I think the reality is most people want to compete and do run as fast as they can. Its an endurance sport that would indicate endure perservere run plod walk on what ever it takes to finish (not cheat) if marathons are to be for only the sub 4hr crowd now next year maybe sub 3hr then sub 2hr soon all of you as well as me will be all left out think about that. Get rid of the walkers first next the charities then the fat ones then the over 30 crowd then the women finaly only prior winners I think then there will be room for all you elitest unles you didnt find yourself eliminted by your own "dream" of a pure sport.
