Hey Sandi; my favorite "medal" was not a medal at all; rather it was the gold "finisher's jacket" (windbreaker) I got from the now-defunct Maryland marathon. You also got a certificate signed by the governer; however, the jacket was really neat! Lot's of people wore them to races.
