It's not the diet. While everyone's body is different everyone's body does need the same things to survive. As humans we have been given the most remarkable machine ever known. Our body's can undergo extreme amounts of stress and adapt. That is what your body has done. You have starved it and trained it to push it's self under extreme circumstances. It has adapted to that but a great risk to your own health. Now that you are following a most likely healthy medically proven alternative to starvation your body has to once again adjust. Remember back to the time when you first started living the life style you live now. 1000 or less calories a day. If you are honest with your self you would realize that you felt just as crapy then as you do now. I commend you for taking the steps toward a healtheir you. Don't give up on the Diet in the runners magazine. Give your body time to adjust and recover. You will find that running isn't the only thing that becomes easier, but everything else in life will as well. I know this from personal experience.
Good Luck
