If you were racing them, I would say 3 in a year evenly spaced (15-18 weeks apart) would be OK-Except you would be in a marathon training mode the whole year. A person could RUN more if they took it very easy and did not try to race them. I am training for my second this year (10/7) and 5th overall (two last year)-This works well for me. Although I train year round, I only venture to about 14-15 for a long run when not in marathon training. Good Luck!
