My 19 year old nephew is blind and is coming over from Britain to run in this years New York marathon. His mother, in her 50's and recovering from cancer, will be his running guide. I have looked into hotels for them in NYC and am stunned by the prices! Can anyone suggest a hotel/motel/B&B that is cheaper than $100 per night. They'd like to be conveniently placed in Manhattan for the marathon but they could be further out, maybe near a railway station? I am on the West Coast so am of limited help to them. I appreciate any advice you might give. Thank you very much.
