I read your message about your 15 miler ending early yesterday morning.

After doing my first 12 mile training run I felt great. Yesterday, I ran 14 miles (first time ever -- prepping for my first marathon), I have never felt pain like I did in the last 4 miles and when I finished. I went home and spent 2 hours, stretching, taking a cold bath (ouch), icing, and re-hydrating. This morning I feel better than I did after my previous 12 mile run.

The point is that we all are going to hit these walls, but you'll bounce back. My experience yesterday has completely motivated me to stop slacking on maintenance runs and cross training. I'm not sure what program you are on, but maybe some cross-training will help you.

Good Luck.
