After Marathon Training, How to Ramp Up

I just finished training 18 weeks for Grandma's Marathon, and "pulled out" six days in advance due to an accidental hamstring pull (not training related). The hammie doesn't hurt and in a week or two I'll start running again (biking now) to train for a fall marathon 17 weeks away. My questions are twofold: 1) Because of the injury, I am concerned about how quickly to ramp up for the fall marathon. Should I use a "typical" post marathon ramp up even though I didn't run the race? Is it realistic to try and hit a base of 50 miles/week towards the end of training (I had been at 40/week.)? 2) I don't think I am viewing the fall marathon as "PR" material, and may go in just trying to accomplish the training and then finishing the race at a reasonable time. Would you continue to do hill/speedwork during training if you were in my shoes?
