I know this is kinda late to respond but I used to nanny for triplets and used the triplet jogger stroller alot. It works well if you can balance the weight load, ie heavier kid in the middle, lighter two on the outside. The really annoying thing about the triple though is it doesn't fit through doors if you have to make a pit stop. (Though this probably isn't as big a deal with older kids but with three one year olds, its a nightmere!) As far as hiking goes, if its just one kid, a backpak works much better.
