I think these message boards are great! There are some real comics out there, as well as a lot of helpful advice. I am a beginning runner who decided I'd run a marathon in Bermuda in January. After some reading, I thought I should scale it back to a half marathon. I don't think I have a strong enough base for this 15 week program. Anyway, I'd like to run Chicago next October. After I finish the half marathon in January, at what point do I start training for the marathon in October? I know there are so many resources for training, etc...but any advice is helpful. Also, any feedback on if long runs should exceed 13 miles in order to get ready for the half??
