Sounds like you are possibly tired John. I too have felt discouraged lately but, after speaking with fellow runners, the best advice that has helped me is , "just enjoy yourself." Afterall, thats why we started running in the beginning right? Also, while your struggling to complete one more mile tell yourself that even if you do stop, you've done more than the majority of people around you today. That seems to help me. Not many people can say they just ran 8 miles today, yesterday or the day before. Again, just have fun take in your surroundings, dont push yourself and listen to your body.
