I've done it twice and both times were great. Weather can be variable this time of year. Typical is around 50 to start, warming to the mid 60's if it is sunny. This is a great PR course, very flat and tends to be shielded pretty good from the wind which is a problem at many beach courses. It also is quite shady for a good portion of the race.
They really do a fantastic pasta party the night before and one of the best after marathon feasts.
Not too many spectators but great scenery.
Give it a try and check out Charleston while you are there.
