I know competitive runners train seven days, often twice a day, but there's a lot of evidence around that indicates less is more.
In response to an inquiry by a middle-aged, businessman, Jeff Galloway recommended a four day routine of 6, 9, 9, & 13 miles. He reports that his client did surprisingly well on race day; as well as he'd done in previus races with a full week's training program.
Maybe a four day schedule might work for you.
