You've been given pretty good advice but I'd like to add that you may find it usefull to include a few 10 k races during the last few months of training - maybe even a 20 k race to replace a long run. That will do wonders to your preparation... and you will get to mix with other runners who are probably going to do the same marathon as the one you are preparing for... You don't want to face your face marathon without having hadthe feel of a race before...
