Hi Michelle, I hope it's not too late for my message. I've run two marathons with my period. I'm 5.2 and weigh around 100 pounds. I use Always ultra thin slender (for teens). I wore them during my marathons because I don't do well with tampons. They work really well both times. The first time I was in my fourth day. But the second time I was supposed to be in my heaviest day (2nd) and... (I suppose because of the marathon) my period stopped and resumed the following day with all its intensity. Anyways, I prevented the chaffing with some body glide. Good luck.
