Disney 2001 was my first marathon (I trained with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training program). Lynne, people are very friendly and you will find plenty of running partners there. It was very cold for the start (below 30) and warmed up to the mid 60s. BUT the year before the temp. was in the 80s! So...watch your Orlando weather forecasts before you pack. You will really enjoy it -- good entertainment, good support turnout and only a few "dead" areas. I do vividly remember doing the YMCA at mile 20 led by a DJ on the side of the road!
