Yes, I am definitely one of those lucky individuals who just seem to stay skinny no matter how much/what they eat. Of course this meant that during my training I had to eat a ridiculous amount of food to keep up. So I was unlucky in terms of my grocery bills!

I do think I will be healthier in the long run for going vegetarian/vegan. I did it mainly for ethical reasons, but back when I was an avid carnivore, a large portion of my diet was fatty red meats and I am sure that would have eventually caught up with me one way or another.

50k trail runs do sound intriguing (though it is indeed hard to imagine them as easier). I am still new to this marathon thing though so think I will stick with that for now...
