I'm a believer in everything in moderation and letting the body scrounge for nutrients just enough that it gets what it needs without having it presented on a silver platter.
On the other hand I do indulge in one supplement to help rebuild muscles after a particularly punishing long run (i.e. 18+ miles). Interactive (that's the brand name) Complete Vegetarian Protein (that's the product name) provides Beta Chain Amino Acids, the building blocks of muscles. Comes in a powder, mix it in with OJ or water (I use cranberry juice) and drink up. You can buy it at health food stores.
Other than that I eat just about anything.
