I am training to run my first marathon in the Fall, 2001 or Winter, 2002. I am training in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but the downhills are killer on my knees. I have not picked a marathon to run yet, so I am gladly taking suggestions for a good first marathon race that is relatively flat. I have been running mostly 10K races, but decided to "step it up" a little. I'm very interested in "the runner's" perspectives on marathon courses.
