I don't think that running two marathons within a month is smart if either one is going to be a at relativly hard pace. THe sheer distance of the marathon does extrodinary damage to the muscles of your legs. I ran the MAui marathon on march 18 as a long run for the OK city MArathon on April 29. MAui I ran very slow, at about a 10 minute pace, and it was very very hot and humid. COme race day for OKC, I don't feel like my legs are ready to handle the pace I wanted to run at. I never got on my target pace and finished in 3:57. Granted, I wasn't that sore after OKC and am already running, but I would not recommed the back to back marathons. Maybe a half marathon would be better.
