Three weeks between marathons is... not enough! And besides, what is to be gained in a "training" marathon that would not be achieved by following a more conservative approach? I fear you will leave too much of your legs in that useless race and that you will pay the price in your goal event. Triathlons are a lot easier to do than marathons and I always leave at least two weeks between events. I am not an experienced runner like Dave, but let me tell you that 13 days after the Boston Marathon I ran an unsatisfactory 10 k race (no legs are sore hips)... Imagine a marathon... !
