You have more than 3 months to prepare for the marathon. If you have a decent base now, then you have time for a short ramp up, two months of 50+ miles per week, and a taper. I was intrigued by the marathon's description -- a very early start in the morning, then 26.2 miles around parts of the Canal. Sounds like fun to me. Why not book your transportation and lodging today, lace up the shoes, and go for it? Viva la Marathon de Cuidad de Panama!
