I just completed my first marathon (Yakima Canyon) in Washington State. 5:47. Not great by any means. But I did finish and that was my goal. I start training for the Dublin Marathon on Monday. I am doing a sub 4 hour training. But I still expect to finish at (hopefully) 4:30. Even though I've mentioned time twice here I agree with the other person who posted. Enjoy the experience. I was good until about 20 miles...the last six were kinda tough.

BTW. I started running 3 years ago. I've lost 50 pounds and feel great. Keep it up. Remember it's about how you feel after the race or the run.

Enjoy!
