Highly recommend wearing a HRM

Wearing a HRM in a marathon can be an excellent way to keep your pace even. Had a strange phenomenon happen at the starting line at CVS Cleveland this year. My heart rate was 130 before starting - I was standing still! I guess I was just pumped. There was no static or power lines interfering. I settled down after a few miles, but for those few miles I was beating a lot faster than I ever had in training for that easy pace. Highly recommend "Heart Rate Training for Compleat Idiots" (I forget the author's name). By the way, I'm going to MCM'01 with my wife for the first time and its her first one too.
