black toes

I talked to a couple of my running comrades and neither have experienced pain in the joints of their big toes. Perhaps to help ease the black toe problem you could drill a hole in your shoe where the toe hits the front part of the shoe. I've never actually tried this so I don't know if it would help or possibly ruin the shoe. I have seen on the roadrunner.com web site a shoe for sale that is a running "sandle". All five toes are exposed to the air and your toes have unlimited room. I've never tried these shoes because I'm not sure they would work for me and I'm afraid to spend a lot of money on shoes if I may not wear them. I don't know which company makes this running sandle. It looked like a training shoe but it could have been a racing flat. If anyone has seen this perhaps they could comment on it. If nothing helps you one of my comrades suggested that you see a sports medicine physician. You could contact the track or cross country coach at the collage you attend and ask where the coach sends their injured runners. It would cost a lot but if it solved your problem then it would be worth it.
