Shirley - That is great! I share your commitment to honor our troops. I've done Pensacola (FL) Marathon, with the Navy Blue Angels as the starting "gun", and the Marine Corps (VA) coming next. I hope to do the Air Force and Camp LeJuene too.
For Marine Corps Marathon, I've got my yellow shorts and red singlet all picked out (Marine colors, of course) and a hat custom embroidered with "Oo-raah" - the offical grunt of the Marines, and to put the names of the service people in my family on a back bib. Even plan to carry a camoflauge colored hankie! :-)
I'm in Northern California - you in Florida? But you'll be here for the NIke marathon Oct 24th. Maybe we could get together for a very easy run that week? Would be fun.
