I'm doing Marine Corps marathon this year, after passing on it last year. I ordered the Virtual Brands video of the course- pretty decent. Mostly what I took away from the video was that there will be long stretches on highways or roads with NO spectators and probably HEAD WINDS. And watch out for the sculpture of the fallen giant struggling out of the earth at Hynes Point! (One of those "few spectator, head wind" sections.)
But what can be better than having Marines in cammy helping you along? I'll be in my "Ooraah" hat if the weather suits.
