Injury, again? *sigh*

This morning (after my stretches[calf/achilles]) I started to take off and no further than a tenth of a mile did I feel this terrible pain in the bottom left quadrant of my knee. (I'm guessing this is the Lateral Collateral Ligament?) I stopped, rubbed it and proceeded at a slow pace (12min/mile). After that it felt just fine for the 6 miles.

I didn't run any hilly areas really, it was mostly a flatish run.

Then, I got home and took a shower, had some breakfast and went to get up and nearly couldn't walk. It felt as if my knee were betraying me. I got some ice and iced it for around 15mins. It seems to feel a bit better, but I'm wondering....

A.) Should I do my 5 mile run I have scheduled for tomorrow. I don't want to induce a full tear if it's not.

B.) Could it be something else? I thought maybe runners knee, but that didn't seem to fit.

C.) I might simply try and log some miles on my bike instead.

Heh, I was feeling great too. Did my second 8 mile run this past sunday and felt superb. Now, I'm worried if I should attempt my 9 miler or not this coming sunday. :( I really enjoy running, my body seems to try and find excuses though.

I'll probably just ride my bike tomorrow and then maybe even skip my Saturday run too in hopes of resting up for my long run sunday.

I'll keep you guys posted.
