Q. Does anyone have suggestions for a good first marathon?
A. A good first marathon is one that you actually FINISH! The distance in any marathon is always 26.2.
If you train properly and train smart, you will never have to worry about looking for a good first marathon.
Good luck in your training. A friendly word of advice ... your first marathon is going to be special. Don't ruin it by ill-training. Most people who run a BAD first marathon, have never run another!!!
Respect the distance. 26.2 is a very ... very ... VERY LONG WAY TO RUN, heck, it's a bloody long way to drive!!!
