Unfortunately, the only cure is rest. You can ice them after running to make them feel better. But in the end, rest is really the only cure.
For preventing this next time, walk around on your toes and then your heels. I find this really helps to strengthen the muscles - and is easy to fit in to daily life. Make sure your shoes have plenty of cushioning. I used to have to wear shoes for heavier runners, even though I'm tiny. Now that my form is better, I no longer need these. But that extra cushioning really helped a lot!
