I'm interested in tips on how older runners avoid injury, speed recovery and increase fitness/speed as rapidly as possible. Several articles I have read put forth the thought that vitamins and other supplements are not very helpful. I have only started running again about two years ago and would like to make up for a lot of lost time. I'm not worried about winning the race but I'd like to be faster than I am. I've read of individuals much older than I who have fantastic times. Not knowing them personally, I don't know if they have been running forever and their results are just a continuation of their earlier running.
