The 5k went fine, but I am not where I would like to be speed wise. However, it was more fun than a track work out. There were a few 5k's in the area that day so the competition pool was down, so that allowed me to do well in my age group - bonus! I am 5 weeks from the half, so I have time to work on speed. I focused heavily in endurance over the last 8 weeks with the plan of more speed work leading up to the race. I will taper the week before.
