The joys of being female. Here's my personal deal. Luckily I'm pretty regular and so the day before I start(actually the evening before) I pop two advils. I'm also one of those lucky females who gets really nasty cramps (my doc thought I had endometriosis) and so the advil thing is religion to me. Then for the first day or two I might pop 2 advils mid day or so (always w/a meal). I've never had issues with cramps during a run by doing this.
Some people like aleve more than advil. Hope this helps some.
