Truly sedentary people need 60% protein, 30% carbohydrates, and 10%fat. Athletes like us on the other end of the scale need 60% carbs(for energy),30% protein and 10% fat. More or less dpending on activity levels of course. The fat is a necessary part of our diet and should be LDL and not the more harmful HDL. The more liquid the butter substitute is, the more likely it is to be the good kind. I use olive oil, the dark for flavor, light is just as good, for my salad dressing. Almonds are one of natures best anti cholesterol fighters. So I put some on my salads also. I believe that good heathy food can also taste good.
