Hi Susan,
The Forerunner is quite huge. I have found though that wearing it on my forearm has made a HUGE difference. You could even wear it on your bicep if you'd like and that may even be more preferable for you.
The thing weighs 2.4 oz or so, and is quite lightweight. The etrex Ed speaks of is 6oz and well, that seems a bit much to me ;) Though the price on it is quite sexy. The biggest question I'd have about the etrex is that GPS doesn't seem to work to well when it doesn't have a direct line of site to the sky. You stick this sucker in your Fuelbelt on a cell phone holder thingy and will it still be able to get the signal?
That is another thing to think about Susan... Do you run in a mostly tree-lined area? If you run wear the sky is covered with trees pretty much the whole time you may have some problems. I found that running downtown, (Macon, GA) next to the river walk there are a lot of trees that cover the sky overhead. I noticed the signal kept dying out. YMMV.
All in all, I'm quite excited about the Garmin Forerunner 201. It seems to work fairly well. It does seem too huge though to wear on your wrist, unless you are like maybe Shaq or something. But if you wear it on your forearm, or Bicep I think you'll be right as rain.
Also, I would check on Amazon.com. It's where I got mine. I got it for ~$120US. Not too shabby considering people are trying to sell theirs on Ebay, for whatever reason, for ~$135US.
I ordered my 2005 Fuelbelt last week, I'm going to post a review of it once it comes in!!! ;)
