Like BCP, I too am not large breasted and have found chafing to be minimized by doing what shes mentioned. However, my sister, who is a size D (got a boob job) and has run a couple 5+ hr marathons, did have lots more chafing problems than I did. On long training runs and races, she used Band-Aids to cover the spots that were always getting rubbed raw and BodyGlide around the area in addition. Im not sure what type of fabric her jog bras were made of though.
