Don't worry about the injury...there will always be other races to enter. The primary goal is to rehab the thing asap.
I wouldn't rule out your marathon bid in April completely, but you really ought to be confident of your health before going to the start line.
Lots of people attempt marathons without a sound foundation; some pay the price for the shortcut, others don't. If you weigh over 160 pounds, and there is any tenderness at all, I'd be very reluctant to try the April race with the amount of training you have to date.
