I think its fine to switch workout days and enter shorter races in lieu of normal workouts occasionally. BUT if you plan to run that half marathon much harder than you would a normal training 14 mile run, if I were you, Id take the day off before (move that 4-miler up a day and make the day before the race your rest day), take the day off after (maybe two), and ease back into my training after the race. Racing 13 miles is very different from running a 14-mile LSD. Youre liable to regret having done it if you dont give yourself the chance to rest and recover from it.
On the other hand, if you do run the half marathon much like you would a normal training run, then you probably can just switch the order of the workouts and continue increasing the weekly mileage as your schedule calls for.
Remember that no training schedule is set in stone. Listen to your body, use common sense and be wiling to make adjustments to your training to make it work for you. Good luck, Trae.
