I decided a few weeks ago to start training for a marathon. I've never run before and am not in the best physical shape (5'5, 160 lbs, 21yrs old). I just started two weeks ago and have been running about ten mintues every other day. I am planning on moving up to ten mintues every day but my left leg (around shin area) has been hurting. Should I not move up to ten mintues every day? If they are, i know it is best to rest, but also, I want to start running everday because I feel like it might become easier (somedays only 10 minutes have been a struggle) but I know i can do more cause i have run 2 miles before without a problem..any advice???
