you gave a correct response for someone who you thought was at or near your level of training.

Often (as we have learned on another string) when folks state they are going to be starting a particular marathon training program, they already have a running background and are not just starting from scratch.

So...keep in mind that Mills states he is currently doing 40 miles per week. He is presently more advanced in his training than you and I.

(I'm holding at ~31 miles per week due to the 97 degree weather).

If he is running this much relatively easy with no pain or stress, we should not be suggesting he cut back his mileage, only moving it about a bit, in order to get some rest in there.

Mills is going to have a very easy time cruising thru that training program.

As far as your schedule, you are doing great! Don't get impatient, you only have completed four weeks. You are just an egg.

six weeks ago you couldn't run five miles. Now you can do it with no problem. Takes time. Give it all it needs.
