Ok... I did want to make sure you weren't someone just "getting off the couch" and trying to run a Marathon. If you stated that, and you well could have, I missed it.
Good luck to you in your training, I won't be to Schedule 2 level until early October myself. I'm having to also go into a holding pattern for the month of sept. in order to make sure I'm on schedule for the Ocala Marathon in Jan 2005.
Right now, I'm just doing 3 milers in the 4th week of training but I'm chomping at the bit for longer runs. I barely feel worked when I'm done with the 3/4 or 5 milers, but I know I need to build the base©. :)
