some feel that a 20 mile LSD run is adequate thus the 3 week recovery.
Liberman believes (and I agree) that one should know well in advance thay can complete 23 miles.
Thus the 4 week recovery program.
I like Liberman's program. It gives great workouts plus plenty of opportunity to rest and recover.
Personally, I feel one should wait until they have a couple marathons under their belt before worrying about how fast they want to complete them.
Good luck in your training. Get to know the warning signs for heat related problems.
