Starting slow is great advice! Also, if you encounter an injury during training--don't run through the pain--get it taken care of. Experiment with what works for you--which bars, gels, drinks--while you're training. Always remember--it can be done--it can! You will have bad runs, but you'll have awesome runs, too. Don't let one bad run discourage you. Go at your own pace--finishing a marathon period is a major accomplishment, no matter how long it takes you! Good luck--you'll rock!
