Wow, I don't know what to say. You Kiwi's are a tough lot. I guess you are probably wishing you hadn't gone quite so far, eh? I made it into work the day after my race but I was limping pretty badly for about 4 days.
So, just curious here -- what's left to prove? You already did more than a marathon! Can you just claim victory right now? Your body is definitely not ready for another 40K effort in only 3 weeks, but I suppose you have to do it on the official race course, right?
So definitely no more long runs before raceday, that's for sure. Maybe no running at all for 1.5 to 2 weeks (walking only). Man, I'm at a loss here about what to say. I think most of our advice here is geared to Americans, who are obviously not as crazy as you folks down under!
