I started distance running in the same manner but at a much shorter distance. I got pissed and bet someone I could run two miles.
First of all I must state - don't do it.
It is an injury waiting to happen.
The only way you could possibly prepare yourself for this is to run 16 km at least three times a week and 32 km (yes, all at once) every weekend from now until the marathon. You ready to handle that much distance running?
don't do it.
